Live: Euro 2012 qualifiers

It’s a big night of International football this evening as five of the home nations are in action as both England and Rep of Ireland face campaign defining awaygames. We will keep you up to date with all the action in our live blog with updates from all games plus we have live extensive commentary from both Montengro and Andorra.

A host of teams are still in the hunt to fill the six remaining automatic berths and eight play-off places for the right to qualify alongside Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Germany. Six other group winners are yet to be decided, though some are much tighter than others, and the race for play-off places remains very much alive with the top two only settled in one section.

In Group B, Giovanni Trapptoni’s Republic of Ireland have a great chance of making a European Championships for the first time since 1988 when they face Andorra. Three points are vital for the Boys in Green as they aim to keep tabs on leaders Russia and move clear of Armenia and Slovakia. Six points from their remaining two games would gurantee Trap’s men at least at playoff, kick off in Andorra is 8.30pm and Dale O’Donnell will begin commentary at 8pm here.

A draw tonight for England would mean qualification for Poland/Ukraine as they play 2nd placed Montenegro. They have a six point lead over tonight’s opponents but a point this evening would move them clear at the top of Group G.
